On May 22, 2025, BIPAVER held its annual General Assembly during the Autopromotec in Bologna, Italy. The event brought together members from across Europe to discuss key developments in the retreading sector and to shape the strategic direction of the association for the coming years.
President Guido Gambassi opened the meeting, followed by an overview of BIPAVER’s financial performance and planning. The 2026 budget was unanimously approved, alongside a modest adjustment in membership fees aligned with inflation.
A highlight of the assembly was the unanimous acceptance of Tech Europe B.V. as a new BIPAVER member. Based in the Netherlands, Tech Europe brings valuable expertise and innovation to the retreading industry, and its membership underscores BIPAVER’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its network of leading players in the sector.
The General Assembly also featured updates on important regulatory topics, including preparations for the implementation of ECE-R 172, the evolving labelling requirements for C3-retreads, and the implications of new EU regulations such as the EUDR and ESPR. Members engaged in an open discussion on national subsidy programs, new tyre legislation in Denmark, and the recognition of retreaded tyres under EU sustainability frameworks.
BIPAVER extends its sincere thanks to the Italian association AIRP for their generous hospitality during Autopromotec and for organizing a warm and enjoyable networking dinner on May 21, which provided an excellent opportunity for informal exchange among members and partners.
Looking ahead, BIPAVER invited all members to participate in THE TIRE COLOGNE 2026 (9–11 June), where the next General Assembly will take place.
