EC announces officially the initiation of an anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of new and retreaded tyres for buses or lorries originating in the People’s Republic of China.
The complaint was lodged on 30 June 2017 by the “coalition against unfair Tyres imports” on behalf of producers representing more than 45 % of the total Union production of new and retreaded tyres for buses or lorries supported by BIPAVER and its members. It has taken a long way until this initiative has finally succeeded to prevent further negative impact on the European retreading industry, but the final outcome is still open. The AD investigation will be finished latest 11. January 2019 (15 month after publishing on the 11. August 2017), while intermediate measures could be applied by the EC until 11. March 2018 (up to 9 months after publishing on the 11. August 2017). Read the complete text of the announcement.
