On 10 June 2026, BIPAVER members gathered in Cologne for the annual General Assembly to discuss the association's activities, financial outlook, and the latest regulatory developments affecting the European tyre retreading industry.

The General Assembly discussed several initiatives to further promote tyre retreading, including the development of marketing materials, publication of a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and increased engagement with policymakers.

A broad range of regulatory topics was reviewed. Updates covered the ongoing discussions on tyre labelling for C3 retreaded tyres, implementation of UN Regulation No. 172, developments regarding the EU Taxonomy, the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). BIPAVER reaffirmed its commitment to representing the interests of the retreading sector and supporting members in adapting to evolving European legislation.

Looking ahead, members accepted the invitation to meet again during AUTOPROMOTEC 2027 in Bologna, where the next in-person BIPAVER General Assembly will take place.
