After 3 years meeting only online, the General Assembly of the European retreading association BIPAVER could finally took place as a presence meeting in Bologna November 17th . BIPAVER members used the new event FUTURMOTIVE International Exhibition for the future of mobility, for energy and ecology transition and innovation in Automotive industry in Bologna to meet each other.
The day before the BIPAVER General Assembly the Italian Retreading Association AIRP had organized their assembly with the participation of BIPAVER’s General and Technical Secretary, informing the AIRP members about the latest developments in tyre regulations and European initiatives.
The FUTURMOTIVE included “The future of retreading conference” followed by “The recircle awards award ceremony”. In the conference BIPAVER’s Technical Secretary Michael Schwämmlein explained the outlines of the Retreading Industries Proposal for a Labelling Scheme for C3 retreads.
The agenda of the General Assembly included updates on the GRBP meetings in Geneva and progress on the labelling of retreaded tires, as well as an up-date on the current start of the expiry review into anti-subsidy measures on imports of bus and lorry tyres from China.
We are glad to announce, that the application for BIPAVER membership of Giti Tire was unanimously approved.
